Kreative QuicKutz Class Samples

Hello again!
Well, I havn't gotten my Design Team dies yet but I finished the samples of the Kreative QuicKutz class at Collective Journeys and wanted to post the pics of the samples. We're doing a Tussie Mussie (I had my bridesmaids carry these at my wedding so I LOVE them!),

a spring banner

and a card

If you'd like to sign up call CJ's, if you have any questions about the projects just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you! Hope seeing these projects inspires you to look at your old dies and create something new, I feel like everything is new with new paper!
Thanks for checking in!

QK Design Team - My 1st Assignment!!!

"I'm so excited and I just can't hide it" - is the song that repeats itself over and over in my head as Adam and I do the "Mommy Excited Dance" which is completely original, well, that's a lie because I totally do The Sprinkler and my Buck'n Bronco dance! Adam loves the Mommy Excited Dance and if I suck in my belly I get super out of breath and count it as exercise!

I just received an email from Andrea at QuicKutz saying that the new "TOP SECRET" dies are on their way to me and that I am to complete 8 projects total! Yay! I'm so excited and I just can't hide it! So, I am going to try to pull off the best samples of my life because I want QK to be super thrilled with me work (I actually want them to offer me a job and to move me to their headquarters)! As soon as I get the go-ahead I will post pics of the samples on here! Happy QK day to everyone! And don't be afraid to dance like an idiot - if you have a 2 year old watching you they'll think it's cool!

Back in the Saddle!

So, I found MORE samples of projects that I've been working on that I thought might spark some creativity!

I've been working on the wedding invitations for a very awesome couple, I've known the bride for about 16 years, I guess she was about 5 or 6 when I met her and I've known her fiance for about a year. I am so excited to make the couples wedding invitations and I wanted an invitation as unique as they are. I used the Silhouette for the branch, cut out the flowers in the yellow from the same Silhouette branch and adhered them to the ivory card stock and then matted the whole invitation to java card stock. I think they decided on Option 2 - Now it's my turn to actually make them!!! I can't believe that February is gone and that I have 2 months to make 200 invites! Yikes!

The other 3 pictures are projects that I did for Pages from the Heart - I used the Resolution release and tried to think of different ways to use the dies. The release was a challenge - I had to really put my thinking cap on to think of different ways to use the dies but in the end I had more ideas than I had time! My two favorites in that release were the Apples and the Sun, but the Alarm Clock was pretty close and I think that the Door Hanger is super fun - you could do gift tags or a newly wed "Do Not Disturb", a new Baby "Shhh" door hanger so people don't ring the bell or a teenager "Keep Out" sign. Again, endless options!

{Fun QK mug - heart is negative mug handle!}

Also, we turned in our class samples of the Spring Card Class to Collective Journeys today - if you liked the Hedgehog card you should definitely sign up!

Happy Sunday! My boys are watching trash trucks on YouTube and I can't pass up sharing in the "Cool-cool!" exclamations!

Catching Up!

Hello again! Obviously some of my New Years Resolutions didn't exactly come to fruit... but I wanted to take a moment to share some projects I've been working on.

For a class that I'm teaching at Collective Journey's I made a Spring Card using all QuicKutz (of course!) using the Forest Animal release from last year - I used the hedgehog (one of my favorites) and the clouds from the Rainbow Cookie Cutter die along with the trees from the Reuse Spring Set from last year - I know that Collective Journey's has this set on sale right now - I saw it yesterday! Anyways - here's a picture of the card! I did get the idea from a magazine but it's always fun to see an idea and use what you have to create something similar.

I'm also posting a couple of other random ideas - let me know if anyone wants any specifics on these cards - I can tell you the dies that I used and most of the paper.

Happy weekend!
