Da dum da dum dum dum dum dum dum... SHARK! Card

Hello!

It's August... yep, it's true.  Summer's almost over.  Sigh.  So, what screams summer to you?  Ice cream?  Bike Rides?  Vacation?  Discoveries Shark Week?

Well, if your name is Aidan and you happen to be my nephew, summer means SHARK WEEK!  He loves the ocean, loves the sea life, snorkeling, coral... but he really really really LOVES Sharks!  And guess what?  It was his birthday the other day.  So, I made him a shark card.

Awww... how nice, a shark is saying hello to Surfer Aidan and our tortoise, Rango...

Hmmm...

Maybe he wants to do more than say "hi"...

Did you notice the shark?

How he went from here...

to here...

It's called a Penny Slide Card!  I downloaded the cut file from Silhouette - it comes with all the fixings you need to make a moving card (you add the pennies)!  You could really use anything - a butterfly, a monkey, a kitten playing with a ball of yard...  Or a hungry shark!

I even made my Surfer Aidan wiggly with a wibble wobble sticky element that's hidden on the back of the wave...

I had so much fun making this card... and what is it about googly eyes and conveying fear?  I feel a little bad for the Surfer Aidan and Rango... they sure look scared but the shark just looks happy?  Talk about a Nat Geo real life card!

Have a great day!
Andrea
