Sketch Interpretation 2!

Hello!

Well, today I'm back with another card that I create from a sketch!

Remember the sketches that I shared from Pinterest?  Well, today I'm sharing a very very very simple card that took about 10-15 minutes to create.  It's not the fanciest card, but sometimes a sweet card can be just what you need!  Here's the sketch...

So, this sketch looks like it's a 6"x6" card but I choose to do a A2 card (4.25"x5.5").  Here's my card...

I used Bazzill's Tawny for my card base and matted a piece of white paper directly onto the card base.  I then cut my middle piece to be 3"x3.75" and the 2 end piece to be 1"x3.75".    Instead of doing a square "image" box, I used a scalloped circle to background my "Sunshine, Happiness, breath" Journaling card.  I also added a scalloped border to the journaling card in place of the half circles from the sketch.  I popped up the journaling card to give the card a little bit of dimension.  I added the bow instead of the text tab and viola!  A finished, cute card in just a few minutes.

All of the paper is by Echo Park's Sweet Day paper line.

A few changes that I might have made would have been...

1. stitching around the different papers on the card.
2. Clear, chunky glitter on the journaling card
3. An orange bow instead of the yellow

That's it for today's sketch!  If you haven't noticed, I'm trying to stick very closely to the original sketch.  I'm doing a close interpretation of each of the sketches and then I'll do a lose interpretation of each sketch so you can see my progression!

Have a great Friday!
Andrea
