Card 19: 30 Days

Hi All!
Sorry for the late post - again! And I'm sorry, but this one is going to be short and sweet. For Card 19 I decided to do a Christmas Card - WHAT?? In August?? Yes, in August! If I want to send out handmade Christmas Cards I should have started last December!

Anyways - I used Cosmo Crickets new Christmas line - it's pretty cool - it's the traditional red/green but they threw in a lavender on some of the papers - it's an interesting color combo - the paper's also a little bit shabby chic or retro and I just love it - especially the red and cream holly paper - I didn't use it in this card but I'll use it in the next Christmas Card. I also used Flower Soft in Diamond White for the snow on the window. I used my Silhouette for the window, green bough and Noel. Nothing like making snow in August in 100 degree heat!!

Card 18: 30 Days

I'm sorry this is such a late post - I've been to 2 doctors appointments, x-rays, pharmacy... a busy, tiring day.

Anyways, Card 18 is such a fun, any occasion card - although you probably won't want to give it to your boyfriend/husband/son. I've been paying close attention to scrapbooking/cardmaking and crafting trends, and one trend is hot air balloons - which are totally cool and you can do any type of card with them. For my hot air balloon card I choose The Girls Paperie line again, I just can't get enough of it and I love the elegant, shabby look of it. I also used my Silhouette SD for all of my shapes, quick and easy!

(Wishes Floating Your Way Card)

I took a 6 x 6 in. tan card base and matted a 5 7/8 x 5 7/8 dusty pink to it. I then matted a 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 in. printed ledger piece. I used a scallop border punch on a 1 1/2 x 6 in. floral print, then cut a 3/4 x 6 in. blue patterned piece and adhered it to the scallop piece and adhered the whole thing about 1/2 in. from the bottom of the card. I then added crocheted lace over the whole border piece. I used a House of 3 label and cut it from a white solid and a slightly smaller label from the same blue patterned piece and then backed the label with chipboard. I popped up the label with foam tape. I then stamped a scallop circle on a cream/black dotted paper and cut that out, adhered it to the bottom right corner of the label. I added 2 green/white dotted tickets (Silhouette) and 1 white "wish" ticket (Silhouette- House of 3) and adhered them to the label. I put a 3 layer flower that I cut from sheet music over the corner of the tickets and part of the label - adding a button with blue/cream bakers twine in the center (don't forget to curl up the petals for extra dimension). I then adhered the hot air balloon that I cut from a tan solid, floral print and blue solid. I used foam tape to adhere the center section of the balloon. I then added 5 clear Dew Drops randomly around the card, put blue stickles on the ribbon on the balloon and Diamond Glaze on the "Wish" ticket. I distressed everything - I used Tea Dye Distress Pad from Ranger.

I love this card, I think it's super sweet and can't wait to find someone to give it to!!

Card 17: 30 Days

Card 17 - as masculine of a card that I can make (I did add stickles, I just can't help myself)! It's funny, I was a total tomboy growing up, I played softball, preferred tennis shoes and flip flops to any sort of ballet flat or anythig with flowers on it. I did NOT like pink or purple at all (pink is my fav now), my teenager room was black, white and blue with pops of pink (I compromised with my Mom, she really wanted me to be girly). I did like make-up and clothes but would not wear prints and preferred black (I wasn't goth as all, I think I just understood that black is slimming), but I would not wear a dress until one day I totally manipulated my Mom and said "Okay, if I wear a dress once every few weeks will you always buy me whatever dress I want??", to which she agreed and I decided to live in dresses as a college student just for the ease of it (we live in So.Cal, the weather lends itself to dresses nicely). Anyways, I just find it amusing that now I can't seem to do anything without a feminine touch - like this Grandparents Day Card with glitter.

(On Papa's Team Card)

I made this card for my little cub to give to my Dad for Grandparents Days (Sept. 12) and it's pretty basic. I took a 4.25 x 5.5 white solid card base, then matted it with another white solid and then matted it again with another white solid but embossed it with small dots. I then used a blue/white patterned paper and die cut clouds from my Silhouette SD. I inked them in blue and then glued 2 of them down but then popped up the 3rd one with foam tape. I then took a small piece of brown burlap and cut it into 2 hill shapes - I didn't do a perfect cut or even try for one because I wanted it to look a little rugged, I adhered it with Scrappy Glue. I then took an orange patterned piece and cut out a Dump Truck with the Silhouette and added some black tires, I used foam tape again to pop it up. I added Diamond Glaze to the dump truck to give it more dimension. I then tied a thin piece of green/white ribbon around the bottom and tied a simple knot. I cut "PAPA" from QK Chicken Noodle and adhered it to the top of the card. The inside reads "Thanks for picking me for your team", which is a saying that my Dad always uses with his grandchildren "You're on Papa's team, huh, Buddy?". It's a very simple and easy card, you could change it around and instead of doing a dump truck, do flowers or a basket of apples depending on your theme!

Card 16: 30 Days

Emboss, emboss, EMBOSS! I love it, I don't know why it's taken me so long to get on the emboss band wagon because it's such a simple technique but it adds so much to your projects!

(Sweet Little Witch Card)

For my "Sweet Lil' Witch" Card I used the Tim Holtz Bingo Embossing Folder. I cut a solid cream piece of paper to be 4.25 x 5.5 in. and ran it through my Epic using the embossing folder. I then cut it down to be 4 x 5.25 in. and rubbed Chalk Ink Pad in Chestnut and in Black over the numbers and letters to get them to pop. I then took a 6x6 in. black solid card base, then added a 5 7/8 x 5 7/8 in. cream mat, then a 5.75 x 5.75 in. orange patterned (Making Memories Spook Alley) piece and then I glued the Bingo Card toward the right hand side of the card, leaving about 1/4 in. border around 3 sides. I then adhered a 2.5 x 6 in. solid black piece across the center of the card, then added a 2 x 6 in. spider print (Making Memories Spook Alley) centered on the black solid, and then .75 x 6 in. black word print (Making Memories Spook Alley) and scallop border punched one long edge. I then used the little witch from a sheet of images and backed it in black solid. I tied a bow with cream lace and glued it down, added 3 black buttons and called it good. I wanted to add a plastic black spider ring around the bow but couldn't find one until after I had finished the card, but I thought it'd be an interesting touch.

Hope you like it, and remember, embossing adds dimension and texture to any project, you can sand it, distress it, ink it, spray it - anything you want to make it stand out as much or as little as you want!

Card 15: 30 Days

Hello Everyone! Happy Friday!

Well, we are half-way through our 30 Days of cards and today I'm going to show you a card that is kind of a repeat, hope you don't mind... I'll explain as I go!

I made another Halloween Card yesterday, and it looks an awful lot like a Hallowe'en Card from last week, which was totally my plan! I was looking at the Mad Hatter Hallowe'en Card and just felt like something was missing, something was off... I had plenty of embellishments (possibly too many??) but I wanted more texture, so I made another card and I love this one even more than the 1st Had Hatter Card. So, my point is, if you create a card and you like it but after a few days or so, you start thinking about how it could look better, then go ahead and use your original as a sketch and create another card that's similar but that has everything you want in it! Use your own designs as your jumping point, or inspiration!

(Hallowe'en Card)

So, I'll tell you the changes in my NEW Mad Hatter Card. I took a 4.25x5.5 in. burgundy solid and embossed it with a Cuttlebug small dot folder and glued it towards the left side of the card - you can see it behind the frame. I also double matted the Eerie paper just for more dimension. I also used Melissa Frances Glass Glitter on the frame instead of the Black Stickles, it just pops way more (I felt like the black Stickles got lost). I backed my frame with a chipboard frame for more stability, I also backed my Rabbit and Tea Party cards with chipboard. I decided against the "31" and instead added a key hole since so much as to do with keys fitting into doors in Wonderland.

So, that's it. This card has everything that I wanted, I don't think that I'll do another one again... but we'll see in a week!!

Card 14: 30 Days

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to address a topic that my Mom and I have been discussing lately, and that is "Do cards fly out of my ... head?" And the answer is, NO! I don't always have inspiration, some days I walk into my scrapfice and just turn around and walk back out. Sometimes I get started on a card and keep working and working and I end up spending 2 hours on a little 5.5 x 4.25 in. piece of paper that looks like Adam (or Alan) made it. Sometimes I totally copy other people's masterpieces! Creativity doesn't always flow, if I have a great week where I'm making 3 cards a day that are all original to me, then I have 3 weeks where I can't think of a single original idea and all I do is duplicate (as close as possible) what I see in a magazine. So, my point is, don't get down on yourself if you're just not feeling "it" for a day, a week or a month, it happens to all of us (I think). I'm sure even Martha Stewart or Heidi Swapp or Tim Holtz have days where getting their socks to match seems like an obstacle in color choice.

So, now that I have said my piece, here is a card that I created yesterday after being inspired by a card I saw in a magazine (I kinda copied the card but made it my own in some ways...). Yesterday (and I'm afraid today is going in the same direction) I was not "into" it. I was looking at tons of blogs, planning out upcoming classes, pouring over idea magazines but when it came to me actually sitting down and cutting and pasting... well, it was a struggle.

(Falling For You Card)

I used WeR's "Maple Grove" paper line for this card that I grabbed from Collective Journey's the other night... I also broke out my sewing machine - WHATTT!!! I know, I'm so lazy sometimes, I'm always impressed when I take 3 minutes out of my day to move my sewing machine and put in the correct color of thread... anyways, took a cream 5.5 x 4.25 in. card base and used Chalk Chestnut Brown to distress. I then took a portion of the green/blue patterned paper from "Oak" and cut it down, adhered it, then added a piece of their wood grain patterned paper, cut it down and adhered it as well. I then sewed the edges with cream thread, alternating between a straight stitch and a zig-zag just for fun (I'm crazy like that). I then used my Fiskars Scallop Border punch on a tan solid piece and adhered it towards the bottom of the card. I ran brown and white bakers twine around the solid piece and also threaded it through my button holes. I then used my Silhouette SD, cut out 3 solid orange leaves from their "Fall Leaves" image, then made the leaves smaller and cut them again from the patterned paper. I adhered them all down, but used foam tape to pop-up the top leaf. I added my buttons to the base of my leaves and I was done!

This card will be in the October 2nd class of "Our Favorite Cards" at Collective Journey's 909-793-2200.

Card 13: 30 Days

Who says 13 is an unlucky number? Not me!! That's why today's card is my "Lucky Bingo" Card. I've been dying for this stamp... and I couldn't find it in any of my LSS, sooo, I went online and found it and bought it and did a happy dance when it arrived in the mail. I know, I know, I said I wasn't going to buy anything new for my cards... but I didn't buy it just for the 30 Card: 30 Days project, I bought it because "I died" when I saw it (quote courtesy of Rachel Zoe).

(Lucky Card)

So, I used the Girls Paperie Line (again! I just love it!) for all of my patterned paper, I stamped my BINGO image using Chalk Ink in Chestnut Brown and cut it out. I added an organza cream bow, added a few cute pink buttons and some pearls in a flourish design and here it is! I think it'd be a nice wedding, thank you or get well card. Even a friendship card, with "I'm lucky to have you as my friend" saying inside.

Card 12 : 30 Days

Lets celebrate with a birthday card! I love birthday cards... I mostly feel that any card can be turned into a birthday card. I like to make a lot of my cards without any sort of sentiment just for this reason; you can turn a card with a flower on it into a birthday card, a baby card, a thank you card, a wedding card... just about any occasion card!

(Apple Jack Birthday Card)

This card I actually created with a $1.00 stamp as my inspiration! $1.00!!! I also used scraps from Sassafras "Apple Jack" paper line. This card was super easy, but a little time consuming than I originally thought just because of all the little cutting on the banner. So, first I took a 6x6 inch lt. yellow card base and added a 5 5/8 x 5 5/8 in.& 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 in. white mats. I took a strip of 2 1/2 x 6 in. patterned Apple Jack paper and ran it close to the left edge. I also took 1 x 2 3/4 in. strips of other Apple Jack papers and glued them down towards the bottom of the card over the long strip. I then took my Happy Birthday to You stamp and stamped it in black 2 times on the card. I then took the same stamp and stamped it 2 times of 3 different solids. I cut out the individual banners in a random color order and glued them over the stamped image on the actual card. I added a couple little dabs of clear Stickles, stuck down a little asterisk sticker and added Diamond Glaze to it. Added a button with a little bit of ribbon and here is a fun b-day card that is pretty age and gender non-specific! My favorite kind of birthday card!

Card 11: 30 Days

My BFF (literally, we've been friends since we were 12 and we have stood by each other through every single life change, no matter how big or small) just finished renovating their new house. She's had a crazy year, she had a new baby (along with a 4 year old), she quit her job b/c her Husband didn't reenlist in the Air Force, they moved to a different state and were living with her in-laws for 9 months while they renovated a serious fix-er-upper and looked for jobs and tried to adjust to life in a new state and had an infant and a 4 year old! Phew! I don't know how she did it, to be honest! So, I made her a card... sounds a little underwhelming after all that she's been through this year, doesn't it???

(New Home Card)

Anyways - I used my Silhouette SD for almost everything on the card! The only piece that wasn't cut from the Silhouette was the Key Hole, which is Tim Holtz Die. Otherwise, the label, house (cut from 2 different papers), the flourish and the heart banner are all from the amazing Silhouette! All I did was create the house first, adjusted it on the Silhouette software to be the exact size that I wanted for my card. I brought in my label and adjusted that to be the size I wanted - I moved it behind the house on the software and adjusted it so I'd know when it was perfect. i did the same with the flourish and with the banner, and I was able to see exactly how my card would look before I cut everything out. I then used The Girls Paperie line for all of the patterned paper, used Bazzil for the brown card base, the 2 mats, the key hole and for the roof on the house. I added Clear Chunky glitter all around the house - I used scrappy glue for the adhesive and just smoothed it all over with my finger then poured on the glitter. I inked the edges of all of my paper in Chestnut Brown from Chalk Ink Pads. I added some rhinestones just for an extra sparkle and the Tim Holtz key hole I backed with chipboard (I was able to cut both the chipboard and the paper at the same time even! I did put Diamond Glaze on my heart banner but I guess it was old because it gave it a milky glaze instead of a clear glaze - it ended up okay since the card has a total shabby chic vibe to it.

The inside says:
It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home.
I'll be dropping it into the mail today!

Card 10 : 30 Days!!!!

Card 10! Yes! Do you know why I'm so excited about Card 10? Because I now have 10 cards for all different occasions to GIVE AWAY when needed! Sure, some are samples of a class... one I've already given away to a friend who takes my classes... but still! Having 10 Cards already to go, so that I won't be stopping at the store last minute to grab a birthday/baby/thank you card is great!!! And pretty soon I'll be adding some Christmas and Thanksgiving cards, so then I'll be even further ahead! Whoopee!

(Drink Me Card)

Okay, so Card 10 an EASY cheesy Halloween Card that took me, literally, about 10 minutes! I used the Eeri Basic Grey Halloween line again with solid cardstock. I used a Drink Die from Cottage Cutz (it looks like a foo foo drink on the cover) and the Crow Die from QuicKutz for this card. I also used plain white flowers and sprayed them with Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels in Creme de Chocolat and Slate. I added a black button to each flower, tied some burgundy ribbon around the bottom of the card and it was done! Like I said, EASY cheesy!

Hope you enjoy! And I really hope that this reminds everyone out there that a card doesn't have to be covered and have 20 different pieces of paper on it and 20 embellishments on it for it to be a fun and scrap-friendly card!

Card 9: 30 Days

Sigh... babies... they're just so sweet and innocent, such an amazing miracle... so here's a baby card that I made using The Girls Paperie line of paper.

(Stella's Card)

It's a very simple card, I double matted my white mat, heavily distressed with a Distress Disc and Distress Ink all of my paper. I then added the 5.5 x 5.5 in. green/white dotted paper, then added a 2.5 x 5.25 in. piece of sheet music, glued a piece of lace trim along the edge of the sheet music, hand cut the flowers from another sheet of The Girls Paperie Line, added a few areas of Clear Stickles and adhered it with foam tape to the card. I added a little cream butterfly to the flowers, and added 3 clear Dew Drops going down the left hand side of the sheet music. I used Making Memories rub-ons to spell out baby.

Card 8: 30 Days

I'm simply "mad" over this card! As I mentioned in my long-winded post regarding my Halloween Banner, I LOVE the Hallowe'en in Wonderland paper from Graphic 45! I also love how accessible it is to an easy collage look. I could've kept adding more and more to this card (I might add a Tim Holtz Die key and key hole...) without ruining the effect!

Anyways, I used Basic Grey's paper line "Eeri" in Beware (from last Halloween). I used a black 6x6 in. card base, did a double mat of burgundy solid cardstock, one mat was 5 5/8 x 5 5/8 in., the other burgundy mat was 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 in.. I used my Distress Disc heavily around all of my paper and inked the edges with Dark Brown Chalk Ink Pad. I used the QuicKutz Spooky Frame die from last Halloween and cut it from both chipboard and from black cardstock. I added a random pattern of Glossy Accent Crackle paint on the frame. I also used QuicKutz Diesel Front and cut out a "3" and "1", I then painted on Stickles in black and let it dry. I added 2 black rhinestones to the 1 towards the top. I hand cut out the "For Manly Boys" from Wonderland Classifieds and the Man Hatter Card from Jaberwocky. I adhered with foam tape the "For Manly Boys" card to the frame and then glued the Mad Hatter Card to the Manly boys, staggering the cards. I also added the same crackle paint to the Mad Hatter Card just for dimension. I used the QuicKutz nesting flowers and cut the 3D flowers from sheet music, distressed and layered them. I added a black button and a knotted piece of burgundy ribbon. I also added 3 more black rhinestones to the upper right corner of the card.

So, that's that! I'll try to separate my Halloween Cards, but since I"m totally into them you might get a little more "Boo" than you want!

Card 7: 30 Days

Here is Card 7 - paying tribute to Silhouette SD and Glimmer Mist!

This card was created by using my Silhouette SD machine to cut 3-D flowers, then I rolled them, adhered them every half an inch (that might be an exaggeration...) and then covered them in Stickles! I made my own leaves, just hand cut them from green cardstock, distressed and drew on lines. I also used a leaf stencil from Tattered Angels, used Antique Brass and Creme D'Chocolat to spray over the stencil onto cream cardstock. I heavily distressed with a distress disk all of my paper, except for my card base. The black/cream dot is from October Afternoon's Thrift Shoppe. I used scraps of green ribbon to travel under my flowers, adhered a few pearls and tied a small key (Tim Holtz) to my flowers... All in all, an easy and pretty card. The only thing that I wish I would've added would be a 1.5 x 3.75 in sheet of music under my ribbon/flowers... it was an after thought but I'd already glued everything down... Next time!

Hallowe'en in August?

I know, right? I'm totally one of those people who roll their eyes and make annoyed comments when I walk into Target in August and see, not only Halloween and Thanksgiving displayed, but Christmas too! I can't stand it when I feel like retailers force Holidays onto us earlier and earlier so that by the time the actual Holiday comes around you're totally over it.

So, I don't know why I'm totally in love with Halloween projects in August! I think it's because I love, Love, LOVE the Hallowe'en in Wonderland paper line from Graphic 45! I'm a huge Alice fan, the ride at Disneyland is my favorite Fantasyland ride, I thought Johnny Depp made the movie and I'll never be able to get over the awesome "Mad Hatter's Tea" Bridal shower that my completely mad family threw for me! So, now that I've expressed my extreme embarrassment at posting Halloween project pics in August, well, I'm just going to do it! I hope you enjoy this banner - I was very merry and drank tea with 2 sugars in it while making it!

Card 6: 30 Days

Yeah, Card 6! I keep thinking that when I get to 10 I'll be super happy! Which means that I have to work today to get to Card 8 (Card 7 is already done!), and then I'll be 2 days ahead of the game! Woo hoo!

I've really been trying to play with the stash of supplies that I already own - so my Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels became an obsession! There's so much you can do! You can use your die cuts as a stencil, use an actual stencil from Tattered Angels, use an actual metal die as a stencil, make your own patterned paper by spraying all different colors all over your paper, customize plain white flowers to fit your color needs perfectly, spray ribbon to change the effect... So much to do, your possibilities are only limited by your time!!!

(Tattered Butterflies)

On this card I used a Tattered Angels stencil of a butterfly. I really wanted the butterfly to be almost a halo effect, so I first sprayed with my 'Marshmallow' glimmer mist. You couldn't really see the stencil, so I went back over it with 'Antique Brass' and got more of the outline. I didn't over-spray, since I really didn't want the negative image to be the focus of the card, I just wanted a lite image. I then used a small piece of cream ric rac, die cut some flowers from old piano sheet music, layered them and added a button with blue/cream bakers twine. I die cut/embossed (all with one die!) little butterflies, added some rhinestones (a necessity for any super girly card!) and came up with this card! I love it! I also used a distress disk to distress the edges of all of my paper (patterned paper is from Girls Paperie - super cute!) and inked everything. I even added rock candy glitter glue (by Ranger) to the edges of the butterflies. I really don't believe that there is such a think as too much sparkle!

Card 5: 30 Days

Here's Card 5 - Echo Park Paper Line once again!!!

 I used Echo Park Stickers and paper, a little bit of organza to back drop my strawberry sticker on a circle that I punched using a 2" circle punch. I also doodled (a favorite trick of mine), made a rectangle and border punched the edge, added a little bit of pink gingham ribbon, a few buttons (love the heart buttons, I use them frequently!) and viola! A cute, easy and scrap friendly card! On the inside I wrote out, "Hope you have a berry sweet birthday!" I guess I'm all about puns! Isn't it 'pun'derful...

Card 4: 30 Days - Eat Your Veggies!!!

Hey Everyone!
Well, since I've decided to pretend like I never took a sick leave from my 30 Cards: 30 Days idea, here is Card 4 - I've decided to call it "Corn-y Humor" and it's a card using the Garden Variety paper from Cosmo Cricket and a QuicKutz Exclusive Die from Scrapyland called "Veggies".

 A customer of my LSS (thanks, Mary!!!) let me borrow her die and I just fell in love with all the silly faces of the veggies. I have to admit, I have "peeled" through many websites looking for a little bit of veggie humor and once I found my "corn-y" veggie joke, I just had to use it!! Anyways - hope you enjoy this card and maybe it'll give you a laugh to start off the week!

Q: What do you do when a veggie strikes?
A: You picket!!!

Shop Hopping, Return of 30 Days of Cards

Hi Everyone!

Well, this is a super quick post to let you know that 30 Cards: 30 Days will ressume tomorrow! I'm not feeling 100% but I am feeling super inspired so... let the cards return!

I'm not sure if everyone is familiar with "Shop Hopping", but it's a fun program where Scrapbook Stores participate in a "Hop", which is where patrons get a book, badge and a charm bracelet and they have 2 weeks to go to all the participating stores in your area. So far we've gone to 15 stores in SoCal, and we still want to go to the LA stores and the San Diego stores! Phew! It's kind of a contest, depending on how many stores you attend you get entered into drawings, all the stores have a theme (this year the category is "Movies") so it's really fun! And you get sooo inspired by seeing what other stores have to offer, along with their store samples! Anyways - here's a picture of our hopping yesterday! I went with my Mom, Sis-in-law, toddler son (2.5 yrs) and toddler nephew (3 yrs) - we were very brave and had a great day!

Delayed

Hello Everyone,
I'm so sorry to get behind on my cards - I've been sick yesterday and today so my head is like a giant hot air balloon with someone sticking push pins in it! I started on antibiotics today and hope to feel better tomorrow to blog and post a card! Forgive the delay! I'll still be done in 30 days, but we'll have 2 cards a day till I catch up!

Card 3: 30 Days

Hello Again!!!

I took a step away from the Echo Park this time (don't worry, it'll be back tho), and I used Cosmo Crickets Material Girl line along with my Silhouette SD machine for this fun card.

First, I took a 4.25 x 5.5 in. ivory linen card base, inked the edges and then I doodled around the edges. I inked and adhered a 2 x 4.25 in. stitched patterned paper close to the left side of the card - about .5 in. from the side (card opens downward). I inked and adhered a 1 x 5 in. piece of patterned paper (dress form) that lined up with the right side of the card and up .5 in. from the bottom. I took a piece of fabric that has 'eyes' on it and glued that down along the stitched patterned paper - I placed it towards the left side - about .25 in. from the side.

I used my Silhouette and cut a scalloped circle (3.5 in), inked and drew stitch lines around it. I adhered it with pop-up tape. I also cut a dress form, needle, thread and bottom from black, ivory and red solid paper. I tied a knot in a piece of ribbon and glued that to the button. I then used stickers and wrote "Hugs and Stitches" on the scallop circle.

This card took a little more time to create due to sizing the different embellishments on the Silhouette software and then cutting them out with 3 different solids. Once everything was cut it only took about 5 minutes to finish up the card. I also really like how the spool of thread came out - it was looking a little too white until I heavily inked the edges.

Card 2:Day 3

Hello!

Obviously, day 2 of 30 Cards: 30 Days didn't go exactly as planned! I remembered that I need to blog whenever my computer was furthest away! So, today, I'll do 2 posts with 2 cards and catch up!

Card 2 is from Echo Park - again, I used all of their coordinating papers/stickers/title sheets to create a quick and easy card!

I took a 6x6 tan card base, rounded 2 corners and inked the edges (Dark Brown Chalk Ink). I added a 5.5 x 5.5 in. ivory linen solid, rounded 2 corners and inked the edges. I also doodled around the edges just for an extra something. I adhered a 3 x 5.5 in pink/white dot patterned paper, then added a 5.5 in long scalloped border from their sticker sheet. I glued down a scrap of yellow ribbon, then took the "A Walk in the Park" sticker title and popped it up. I added the flower stickers and popped those up as well.

If you wanted a little more "BANG", you could add small rhinestones in clusters around the flowers and make a line of 3 in the opposite corner at the top.
